DP42448R - EBC YellowStuff Front Brake Pads - Audi S3 8Y & Volkswagen Golf MK8R.

EBC 'Yellowstuff' Front brake pads to fit MQB EVO vehicles fitted with front 357MM rotors. Examples include Audi 8Y S3, Golf MK8R, Arteon FL & Tiguan R.

Yellow stuff are perfect high performance street pad that can some take mild track work.

Yellow stuff ⁃ A first in a new range of 'Hybrid' materials that can be safely and legally used on worlds roads being R90 approved UK are a high friction upgrade pad for all fast street use and can also be used on the track with proper bedding.

Yellow stuff has been the flagship pad by EBC for over a decade and gives instant brake response, great feel and modulations with silk-smooth noise free braking and was also improved in 2021 to be copper free and conform to all new legislations for the environment and our pads are fully shimmed chamfered and slotted.

Yellow arrives with pad surface Brake-in coating to accelerate pad bedding after install.

With a stable friction coefficient of 0.48μ right up to race temperatures of 450℃,Yellowstuff is a very popular pad amongst kit car drivers and lighter race cars having clinched the MX5 race series. Although heat scorched, the compound does require careful bedding in before race use

If planning track use we recommend using the pad for a period on the street to pre bed before making a track excursion. If you require faster track bedding also consider our new Blue stuff R 90 approved compound which beds in faster.

Yellow Stuff Brake Pads

  • Yellow has been our best selling fast street/sport and light vehicle track/sprint/drift pad for years and is a good choice on light cars in those events BUT bed-in times are quite long (three high heat cycles) and drivers wanting fast pad bed-in for short duration track use, should consider our Blue grade pads or even our RP pads

Please email us to discuss any warranty issues. We normally need a mechanics report to prove a part has failed. If it has failed and it is under warranty we will replace it. We cannot warrant hearsay from home mechanics.

Service & Maintenance Guide

Minor Service - Oil Service

Every 10k is a minor service - oil and filter. Do not follow the factory 15K and go 7k for tuned vehicles. Oil is cheap, engines are not!

Intermediate Service

Every 30k is an intermediate service - oil and filter, cabin filter & air filter, brake fluid flush, remote batteries.

Major Service

Every 60k is a major service - oil and filter, cabin filter & air filter, remote batteries, brake fluid flush, fuel filter, DSG gearbox oil and filter (unless automatic, manual, tiptronic or multitronic), spark plugs and haldex oil.

Additional: Water pump & timing belt and poly belt on belt driven engines should be done every 60k.

Intermediate Service

Every 90k is another intermediate service - same as 30k plus a poly belt / accessory belt.

Minor Service - Oil Service

Replace Haldex fluid every 30k rather than 60k, Gearbox oil change at 40k for DSG is advised. Front and rear differential oils are "longlife" but replace every 60k to be safe.
