PCV Valves - Oil Separator - Volkswagen & Audi

VAGPARTS Australia stock a huge range of genuine & OEM replacement PCV Valves and oil separator parts for your Volkswagen & Audi. PCV valves are consumable, replaceable items.

PCV valves go bad over time, causing increased carbon build up, boost leaks, poor fuel consumption and poorly running engines. You will see an extra 2 to 3 l/100 fuel consumption if your PCV has failed.

  • Increase in internal engine pressure.
  • Failure of one or more oil seals or gaskets.
  • Engine oil leaks.
  • Low whistling or moaning noise.
  • Moisture and sludge buildup inside the engine.
  • Engine surges.
  • MAF sensor trouble code.
  • P0171 or P0174 trouble codes.

Replace your PCV every 50,000 km to keep your car running well.

Please note it is not worth buying cheap aftermarket PCV's. They are not built to the same standard and they blow out. We tested one and it lasted 8 weeks! Please note tuned cars increase internal engine pressure which can lead old PCV's to blow. Just replace it with a genuine high quality item.

Service & Maintenance Guide

Minor Service - Oil Service

Every 10k is a minor service - oil and filter. Do not follow the factory 15K and go 7k for tuned vehicles. Oil is cheap, engines are not!

Intermediate Service

Every 30k is an intermediate service - oil and filter, cabin filter & air filter, brake fluid flush, remote batteries.

Major Service

Every 60k is a major service - oil and filter, cabin filter & air filter, remote batteries, brake fluid flush, fuel filter, DSG gearbox oil and filter (unless automatic, manual, tiptronic or multitronic), spark plugs and haldex oil.

Additional: Water pump & timing belt and poly belt on belt driven engines should be done every 60k.

Intermediate Service

Every 90k is another intermediate service - same as 30k plus a poly belt / accessory belt.

Replace Haldex fluid every 30k rather than 60k, Gearbox oil change at 40k for DSG is advised. Front and rear differential oils are "longlife" but replace every 60k to be safe.
