The 034 Motorsport Stage 3 Transmission Performance Tuning Software for the Al552 is designed to further improve the drivability and acceleration performance of your Stage 3 Dynamic+ Tuned Audi B9 S4, S5, or SQ5. Dynamic+ Stage 3 TCU Software is designed to be used with Dynamic+ Stage 3 ECU Software. 034 Motorsport Stage 3 TCU Tuning further improves shifting performance and speed for casual and track driving in all driving modes for vehicles equipped with the TTE710 Turbocharger and Stage 3 Dynamic+ Software. Dynamic+ Tuning also activates AMAX shifting to ensure the quickest and most efficient shifting strategies while launching your vehicle. Kickdown in Manual Mode is also removed.
Stage 2 ZF8 features
Optimized Shift Points
In order to take advantage of the increased powerband from the turbocharger, Dynamic+ Tuning optimizes the shift points in Sport Mode to maximize acceleration while retaining smooth drivability.
When purchasing the Stage 2 TCU Tune, you will be offered specific calibrations for either E85/Race Gas and for 91/93 Octane (Pump Gas) when flashing! Both TCU calibrations are included free of charge. Each specific TCU variant sets shift points to correspond to the optimal RPM for the powerband that your car now has from your upgraded ECU tune.
Kickdown Switch Disabled in Manual Mode
When in Manual mode, you no longer need to worry about accidentally pushing through the kickdown switch on the throttle pedal!
Improved Shift Speeds
To further enhance the acceleration of your Audi, the ZF8 shift times are dramatically decreased in all driving modes, which ultimately results in quicker acceleration.
Shift pressures are also increased in Sport Mode to maximize performance. In Sport Mode, you will notice less lazy shifts, more firm shifts, which ultimately results in quicker acceleration.
AMAX Shifting
AMAX Shifting is a shifting strategy that stands for “Acceleration Maximum.” These gear shifts are the fastest and quickest possible for optimal acceleration . These are activated in shifting after launching your vehicle from a stop using launch control.
AMAX shift points are now optimized for specific RPM setpoints for Pump Gas ECU tunes, and Race Gas/Ethanol ECU tunes. Select the specific TCU file to match your current octane when flashing your TCU!
The S4/S5 has AMAX now activated in the 4>5 and 5>6 shifts where it was previously disabled from the factory.
The SQ5 now has AMAX activated in all shifts from 1st through 6th where it was previously disabled from the factory.
Improved Torque Management
As with any automatic transmission vehicle, the ECU and TCU computers work synchronously to properly apply torque to the vehicle's drivetrain in a safe and reliable manner. Within both the ECU and TCU, there are factory safety tables that limit overall torque output based upon what the factory first tuned the car for. The ECU reports the output of torque from the engine to the TCU, and the TCU decides if this is suitable, or too much. If it is too much, the TCU will command the ECU to reduce torque output based upon its safety tables.
034Motorsport takes a holistic approach with its Dynamic+ Tuning and aims to retain as many OEM safety protocols as possible. While it is possible to tune around the factory TCU torque limiters from the ECU side, this is done at the expense of torque safety features that are integral in keeping your transmission running safely. 034Motorsport’s calibrators tune the ECU to work with the TCU to provide accurate torque values and recalibrate the appropriate safety ranges for the TCU. Taking these extra steps to retain OEM safety systems on the ECU and TCU side is just one of the many reasons that Dynamic+ software provides substantial yet reliable performance increases.
Rolling KLi-MAX
By flashing the "+ Rolling KLi-MAX" TCU file, you are enabling Rolling KLi-MAX! KLi-MAX shifting is the activation of 034Motorsport optimized AMAX gear shifts, something that is already used as a shift strategy during the use of launch control, allowing for the quickest and fastest shifts. KLi-MAX shifts minimize the torque reduction that takes place during a gear shift while increasing necessary clutch and line pressures to safely transfer more torque throughout the gear shift.
With the addition of Rolling KLi-MAX, this shifting strategy can now be engaged at any time, not just when using launch control! This shift strategy is now added to additional transmission modes (Sport & Manual) and will activate at wide-open throttle over 5,500 RPM Users will audibly notice the lack of "farts" while on this file at wide-open-throttle. This strategy reduces the potential for transmission slip and allows for the fastest shifts possible, and is best used when looking to maximize straight-line acceleration from a roll.
NOTE:We do not recommend toggling Rolling KLi-MAX during significant prolonged wide-open throttle driving, like during an HDPE Track Session.
No Auto Upshift
By flashing the "+No Auto Upshift" file available in your flashing portal, your vehicle will not automatically upshift in manual mode. Your vehicle instead will hold at the engine redline until you shift your car. This feature is especially helpful when driving during HDPE or Autocross events where you want to ensure the car stays in the exact gear you want. This is a feature that is standard with the factory RS5, which we now offer to you with your S4, S5, or SQ5!

How long do I have to wait to receive my tuning download link and username?
From the minute your order is processed on the VAGParts website, you can expect a 1-3 business day fulfillment time to receive your download links and username from the 034 Motorsport tuning team. Please be on the lookout for this email, which will come from the email address "tuning@034motorsport.com"
Q: What is in the introductory email?
A: This is an email from 034Motorsport which includes the username for your account, a link to download the flashing software and the Getting Started user manual.
Q: I haven't got my introductory email
A: You may have to wait 1-3 business days to receive this email from the 034Motorsport team. Please also check your spam, updates, and other email tabs for the email from 034Motorsport. If it still hasn't come after a couple of days please contact VAGPARTS. Please note weekends are not working days.
Q: What do I need to tune my vehicle with a laptop?
A: Windows 10/11 laptop, strong/stable internet connection, Dynamic+ flashing cable, a 20-amp battery supply charger/maintaner, and tuning account access.
I have everything I need what do I do next?
Please download the 034 flashing client if you haven't already, and review the Getting Started guide. You'll need to register your username on 034 Motorsport's server, by inputting your username/email address in the applicable field, and clicking the "Forgot/Reset Password" link. This will send an email to you that will allow you to set your own password, which you'll need to use to log into the flashing client software. Once you are logged into the flashing client, please click on the controller that you wish to program (either ECU - engine, or TCU - transmission) and proceed through the steps listed in the "Getting Started" guide to flash that controller. The files labeled "Stock" are completely OEM software calibrations, as you would have received from the factory, so please only flash these if you wish to go back to stock tuning.
I received an error message stating that "No products are available for this controller", what do I do?
If you receive the error message "No products are available for this controller", please email tuning@034motorsport.com directly, and someone from their tuning support team will advise you on the steps that they will take to get you access to the files that were purchased.
A: This is NOT a difficult process. If you have the ability to open and email and send an email, this is the same level of computer literacy needed.
Q: How long does the flashing process take?
A: The total time to tune the car is around 30 mins. Flashing between files, upgrading and so on once you have done the first installation is a couple of minutes.
I need some technical support. Who do I contact?

Q: My car already has a tune on it, how do I remove it?
A: You may need to flash your car back to stock. You can do this by flashing the car to stock using the 034Motorsport flashing portal.
Q: Do I have to flash my ECU and TCU?
A: Yes, these are separate control units and need to be individually flashed.
Q: What is 91 AKI and 93 AKI? RON to AKI?
A: 91AKI is 95 RON and 93 AKI is 98 RON. When flashing select the file appropriate to the fuel octane you are using.
Q: How long do I have to wait for my tuning introductory email?
A: 48 hours or 2 working days

A: Please allow 72 hours or 3 working days for fulfilment
