Genuine Volkswagen / Audi parts.

Fits Volkswagen & Audi EA113 2.0 FSI such as earlier Audi A3/S3 8P gen 1, Volkswagen MK5 GTI, MK6R, Scirocco R, Jetta, EOS, Passat, A4 B7, Polo 6R.

Can be purchased as a kit with PCV gasket here.

Crankcase ventilation valve / oil separator. Replace this to fix idle issues and prevent carbon build up. Bad PCV valves can cause engine oil contamination, sludge build-up, oil leaks, high fuel consumption, and other engine-damaging problems, depending on the type of failure. These are a consumable and replaceable item. Replace every 50,000 km. There is no need for a catch can, just replace your PCV.

If your cars fuel consumption has increased recently this could be the sign of a bad PCV valve.

* This part is designed for the FSI engine only. This can easily be found on the engine cover of your 2.0T VW/Audi. It will clearly be stamped FSI

Service & Maintenance Guide

Minor Service - Oil Service

Every 10k is a minor service - oil and filter. Do not follow the factory 15K and go 7k for tuned vehicles. Oil is cheap, engines are not!

Intermediate Service

Every 30k is an intermediate service - oil and filter, cabin filter & air filter, brake fluid flush, remote batteries.

Major Service

Every 60k is a major service - oil and filter, cabin filter & air filter, remote batteries, brake fluid flush, fuel filter, DSG gearbox oil and filter (unless automatic, manual, tiptronic or multitronic), spark plugs and haldex oil.

Additional: Water pump & timing belt and poly belt on belt driven engines should be done every 60k.

Intermediate Service

Every 90k is another intermediate service - same as 30k plus a poly belt / accessory belt.

Replace Haldex fluid every 30k rather than 60k, Gearbox oil change at 40k for DSG is advised. Front and rear differential oils are "longlife" but replace every 60k to be safe.
